(Yaaseen) 36 : 9
And We have made a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, thus We have covered them so that they won’t see the Insight.
The disbelievers follow their forefathers’ way blindly and force their descendants to follow that misguided way. This is because they neither utilize Adhikr themselves nor allow others to utilize it, thereby not ruining themselves, though they do not perceive it as explained in verse 6:26. By rejecting Adhikr—the Food, Clothing, and Sight of the human soul—and reading the Arabic Quran, these soulless disbelievers are darted away from Islam as an arrow is darted away from a bow, as explained in verses 3:7-10 and 7:26. See explanation 7:157; 10:60; 56:79-82.
